DEVELOPING A GROWTH MINDSET

Amal, caring for us like a big old pal, shared five very simple and useful totkay (life hacks) which helps us shift from fixed mindset to growth mindset.

All of the five totkay were great, simple ,pretty realistic which makes them very doable.

These tips basically guide us how to become a better version of ourselves, everyday. These tips focus on balancing self reliance and asking for help, believing in yourself and caring for others’ constructive opinion to become a better person. All these tips highlight how being honest and true to ourselves takes us to wonderful places of assertiveness and open mindedness which leads to our growth as a human being.

Talking to yourself is the most effective way to confront your inner demons and shortcoming. It provides us a chance to think highly of yourselves and continue this practice to actually feel the positive and determined side of you.

tip 1: Self talk

Getting of your comfort zone is such a common thing to say and preach but mostly said without its true essence. Its never easy to be vulnerable to the world and we often assume this as a movie scene, like one day, we will get out of our comfort zone and achieve everything we desire for. This is not true. Small actions and efforts to challenge ourselves on daily basis I believe is the essence of Amal tip 2.

tip2 : Out of comfort zone

My favorite tip however is tip number 3, creating new habits. It gets very difficult to develop new habits after a certain age. We become hesitant to put in effort in such things which have no apparent agenda. This tip of Amal also integrates the concept of getting out of comfort zone and invest in new conventions and patterns. This is the catalyst of developing and nurturing a growth mindset. I personally have not developed any commendable habit in many years to be honest but I am truly grateful for this realization.

tip3: create new habits

Asking for help is another tip which reflects upon the idea of teamwork and empathy and finally the tip 5, fake it till you make it in concept . Believing that things will change for better is very bizarre but very meaningful. How it forces us to focus on the positives of upcoming outcomes. We may not be getting the result we want by developing the growth mindset but if we channel ourselves to think in such a way, we may then don’t have to fake it then but truly embrace the idea of growth mindset.

tip4: Asking for help
tip5: Fake it till you make it

Writing this blog today may serve as the first day of implementation in terms of self talk and reflection.
